Projects

Accra Academy School Projects: AAOBA's Staff Accommodation Initiative

Accra Academy Old Boys Association (AAOBA) is proudly spearheading a significant project aimed at enhancing the teaching and learning environment at Accra Academy School. Our mission is to construct a state-of-the-art, four-storey staff accommodation block, valued at GH¢20.02 million, as part of our commitment to the school's growth and development.

Investing in Excellence:

This ambitious project, set to be completed over four years, is made possible through the dedicated efforts of our alumni, who have generously contributed both voluntary donations and actively participated in fundraising activities. At AAOBA, we understand the critical role staff accommodation plays in creating a conducive atmosphere for education.

Addressing a Pressing Need:

With a current staff body of 202, including 137 teaching staff and 65 non-teaching staff members, we recognize the pressing need for adequate accommodation. The shortage of suitable housing for our dedicated educators has far-reaching implications. It impacts our ability to attract and retain experienced teachers, affects the punctuality and efficiency of non-resident staff, and poses challenges for effective supervision, particularly of our boarding students.

A Collaborative Effort:

We are working closely with the school's board and management to tackle this issue head-on. Together with our esteemed alumni, we are committed to resolving this accommodation challenge to create an environment where both our staff and students can thrive.

Acknowledging Contributions:

We also take this opportunity to honor and appreciate our alumni members who have made remarkable contributions to Accra Academy School's development. Your support is instrumental in shaping the school's future, and we encourage all members to continue actively participating in our mission.

At Accra Academy School, we are dedicated to providing quality education and nurturing future leaders. With your continued support, we aim to create an even more conducive and inspiring learning environment for our students and educators alike.
